Finding a Middletown Home—with Room for the Boat

Our clients wanted a new-construction home close to the water, without being directly on the waterfront. They also needed space to store their large boat—an essential part of finding the right property.

We found the perfect home at 81 Allston Avenue in Middletown, but the fenced-in backyard presented a challenge: having enough space for the boat wasn’t enough if they couldn’t get it into the yard.

The property abutted a side street, creating an opportunity for access. During the offer process, we negotiated an arrangement for the fencing that would allow our clients to back their boat into the storage area from that street.

The result was a $1.75 million purchase that brought together the new construction, proximity to the water, and practical boat storage they wanted. For us, finding the right home also means working through the details that make it fit our clients’ lives.
